6.6 - Create a veNEST Lock

What you’re doing Locking NEST mints a veNEST NFT (your governance/voting position).

Steps

1. Open Create Lock

   1. Standard is the automated Hype Engine Vault (HEV), or you can choose a manual lock

2. Enter amount of NEST to lock

3. Choose lock duration (up to the max allowed)

4. Confirm the transaction (HYPE gas required)

5. Check Dashboard to confirm your veNEST position appears

If you plan to vote manually, keep it as a manual veNEST position. If you want set-and-forget voting + MEGAHYPE route, you can deposit into HEV later (covered in the HEV tutorial).
